This letter was delivered to a Sikh American family in Sterling, VA. A community very close to where I live. Close to Washington DC. An area with a lot of Muslims, and Arabs and South Asians. An area that is supposed to be tolerant. An area that is filled with many government officials. I can’t help but wonder if someone who works in the government and lives in Sterling wrote that letter.

Islamophobia affects us all. And worst of all, it affects people who are not even Muslim. Although they are not Muslim, they are being targeted because of the way they look. This was meant for us. To anyone who thinks Islamophobia is dead, it’s not.

Sikhs are NOT Muslims. Islamophobia has reached such a paramount that people who aren’t even associated with Islam are becoming targets. 

Like damn, if you’re going to be living in the dark ages with the amount of ignorance you harbor, at least make an effort to hate the right people. Lethal idiots.

That’s the part that sickens me most. Not him calling her a slut (not that it isn’t horrible, it just isn’t the worst part) but him saying it should be a rule that it’s filmed every time if you want BC.

US soldier jailed for seven years over murders of Afghan civilians

A US soldier has been sentenced to seven years in prison for his role in the murders of Afghan civilians last year.

Pvt 1st Class Andrew Holmes, 21, was among five soldiers charged over the “thrill killings” of the three civilians during patrols in Kandahar. The murders have been described as among the most serious war crimes charges to emerge from the Afghanistan war.

Holmes, from Boise, Idaho, confessed in court to firing a heavy machine gun at a boy from 15 feet away, after his co-defendant threw a grenade at him.

He was accused of directly participating in the first killing and initially charged with premeditated murder among other charges.

But in a deal with prosecutors, Holmes pleaded guilty to murder by an inherently dangerous act, as well as possessing a finger bone from his victim and smoking hashish.

Judge Lt Col Kwasi Hawks sentenced him on Friday to seven years in jail, saying there was no excuse for the murder.

“You aimed a fully loaded squad automatic weapon at [a] child that stood 15 feet away,” he said.

He gets seven years for shooting a young boy and killing other innocent Afghan civilians while posing with their dead bodies in pictures. He gets seven years for murder. Seven years, that is all.

It’s time that I said what I’ve always felt: Fuck the US Justice System. This is extremely inhumane, unfair and disrespectful to the people who lost their lives in some maniac’s blind blood sport.

Ugh. Disgusting.
