ROFL! New Never Before Seen Clip from Lost.
Lost creators Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof premiered this at San Diego Comic Con 2011.
Man in Black: When they find that Scottish man down there pushing a button… he is gonna be pissed.
Jacob: If he wasn’t pushing that button we’d all be in a lot of trouble.
Man in Black: Oh, okay, like say… more trouble than getting turned into black smoke who takes on the form of dead people?
Jacob: Um, okaaaay, you need to really get over that.
The Man in Black/Locke:No, Ben someone helped me out. I’m gonna find Desmond and when I do, I’m going to destroy the Island.
Hrm… FLocke. Now that might work, sure… but you forgot one simple thing. You promised Ben the Island to get him to help you. Why would he help you destroy it?
(I remember seeing this for the first time and having my aha moment)
Jacob: Don’t worry, everything’s gonna be all right. Sorry this happened to you.
Jack: Have you ever stopped to think.. that these.. delusions that you’re special — aren’t real? That maybe there’s nothing important about you at all? Maybe you are just a lonely old man that crashed on an island? That’s it. Goodbye, John.
I seriously SERIOUSLY loved this scene. FINALLY! Jack tells him off! I’d been waiting for that for 5 freakin’ years. I mean, seriously. I hated Locke and I was glad to see him go. His need (at the cost of almost EVERYTHING) to be special was annoying as hell.
Locke: We have to go back.
Jack: Of course. Of course we do.
Locke: Jack, the people I left behind need our help. We’re supposed to go back.
Jack: Because it’s our destiny. How many times are you gonna say that to me, John?
Locke: How can you not see it? Of all the hospitals they could have brought me to, I end up here. You don’t think that’s fate?
Jack: Your car accident was on the west side of Los Angeles. You being brought into my hospital isn’t fate, John, it’s probability.
Locke: You don’t understand. It wasn’t an accident. Somebody is trying to kill me.
Jack: Why? Why would someone try to kill you?
Locke: Because they don’t want me to succeed. They wanna stop me. They don’t want me to get back because I’m important.
Jack: Have you ever stopped to think.. that these.. delusions that you’re special — aren’t real? That maybe there’s nothing important about you at all? Maybe you are just a lonely old man that crashed on an island? That’s it. Goodbye, John.
Sayid: Kate, if you were looking for help to find Jack why didn’t you ask us?
Kate: Two reasons — you don’t know where to look and you’re not motivated. And I don’t blame you. Why would you want to go on another trek across the island, risk more lives just to get Jack back?
Locke: You’re wrong.
Kate: Oh, really? Then why didn’t you come after…
Locke: Not about the motivation, just about knowing where to look. We got a compass bearing, and I’m pretty sure if we follow it it’ll lead us right to him.
Kate: How?
Sayid: Because of the way the sunlight hit Mr. Eko’s stick when John was burying him.
*Love the sarcasm in Sayid’s voice. Totally my feelings on the subject.
